Sylvan Esso have been a Durham band since 2013, and this October they're turning downtown into a walkable festival. Good Moon runs October 8 to 10 — three nights at DPAC, plus a free Saturday matinee on the American Tobacco lawn.   • Endswell is opening in Chapel Hill with an art gallery inside: the green funeral home, which does water cremation and natural burial, takes 6,000 square feet in the Greenbridge building this fall, plus a rotating gallery on an end-of-life theme. (Chapelboro)

🏡 Triangle Pulse

Homes are taking longer to sell all over the Triangle. A Durham listing now sits a median of 61 days before it goes under contract — nine days longer than last summer. Wake is at 58 days, Orange at 64. (Realtor.com research data, August 2026)

Dave Curro is 69. His son Bret is 39 and has a developmental disability, so Curro spent $800,000 on five acres near Carver Street and Guess Road to build him somewhere to live: Forest Grove, 20 tiny homes and a shared center for adults like Bret. It needs $3.8 million. "I'm old," Curro told the 9th Street Journal, "which makes this more important." (9th Street Journal)
